Video: Railway journey from Kiel to Bergen (Scandinavia 2017)

In May 2017, a friend and I took the train from Kiel in northern Germany all the way to Bergen in Norway.

We travelled for several days and passed the beautiful cities of Copenhagen, Gothenburg, and Oslo. Within the coming posts, I will show you some photographs of the individual steps of the trip, but here you can see a video of the railroad journey itself. First the train passed the plains of northern Germany and southern Denmark with its fields of canola. Then we crossed the bridges between the Danish Islands and into Sweden. We followed the coastline all the way north to Oslo, the capital of Norway. As the train ascended the mountain plateau of the Hardangervidda, the scenery became more and more dramatic with its snow-covered hills and frozen lakes. After almost 1,500 km, we reached Bergen at the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. I hope you enjoy the video!

I took the clips with a GoPro Hero 4 Black and did some simple editing using GoPro Studio.
