After visiting Ahmedabad and working in the countryside of Kachchh, I traveled home to Germany via Mumbai.

During this trip to India, I finally had the chance to see a few parts of the country’s economic capital as I have shown you in previous posts (here and here). On my return journey, I had only an afternoon in the city and used the time to visit the superb Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (formerly named Prince of Wales Museum of Western India). The beautiful building houses a vast collection of thousands of historic artefacts and pieces of Indian art – certainly a must-see if you are in Mumbai!

My return flight to Germany passed through Dubai and I enjoyed my window seat offering fantastic views of the desert landscapes of southern Iran and the snow-clad countryside of Turkey.

After my eventful journey, I finally reached Germany again, but I stayed only for a couple of days before work brought me to the other side of the world: Mexico.
